Effect of perinatal nicotine exposure on mixed gender offspring pulmonary function. Compared to the control group, with nicotine administration there was a significant increase in total airway resistance and a decrease in total compliance following Mch challenge in both F1 and F2 rats of mixed gender even though the F2 rats were not exposed to any nicotine during the F1 gestation.
