Peter Carroll, MD, MPH, is the Ken and Donna Derr-Chevron Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Urology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Carroll is a recognized leader in the field of prostate cancer and urologic oncology, and has authored or co-authored over 500 publications. His main research interests include identifying clinical and pathologic determinants of prostate cancer recurrence, progression, and mortality, discovering novel biomarkers for prostate cancer diagnostics and prognostics, developing evidence-based guidelines for improved management of prostate cancer patients, and examining the impact of lifestyle on health-related quality of life and survivorship among men with prostate cancer
