  1. Continuous variables are described with mean and standard deviation and categorical variables with frequency and percentage. Standardized mean difference (SMD) between steroid withdrawal and steroid maintenance groups were calculated for each covariate to quantify the difference between treatment groups. Time-dependent propensity score matching greatly reduced the difference in covariates between the two treatment groups
