  1. The number of artesunate pressure cycles (APC) after which resistance was seen to a given dose in individual mice is tabulated. The proportion of mice with parasites that evolved resistance can be seen to increase as the resistance strengthened, and as ‘fitter’ parasites were selected out by successive sub-inoculations, until the maximum dose was reached.
